Will an American homemade DVD work in Germany

Will an American homemade DVD work in Germany?
If I make a DVD on my computer for a German friend, will they be able to watch it on their DVD players in Germany?

Yes. DVDs are the same in any type of the world. Only video camera tapes and video cassettes won't work if you play them in another country other than yours. Example: I had a video cassette from my old country, Romania, and the cassettes are different than the ones in the US,so the cassette wont fit in the VCR. The only way to make it work is to convert it to a DVD-R or Blu-Ray. The DVD WILL WORK IN ALL COUNTRIES IT ISN'T LIKE THE CASSETTE! I really hope this is helpful!

YahooWii forgot one thing. Copyrighted DVD's have a region code and will only work in players with that region code enabled. But that's only the commercially made copyrighted DVD's, not the home made ones. Yours should work fine, unless it's a pirated copy of something.
