I have to clarify something. Your question is: Am I able to join the server "Sanctuary" while being in Ramstein (the american air base in germany)? It's an MMORPG, so you just need an internetconnection and you should be able to join it. So the answer is: Of course!

The Germans were the better fighters by far and once the Germans were present the Italians weren't particularly important. The major battles were between Germany and England.
2 :
Montgomery was frustrated because his soldiers admired and talked about Rommel more than about its own commandment. Rommel was a legend in Africa between German, English and Italian soldiers. Also the british were happy when they met and fought Italians and not Germans in Africa.
3 :
Before Rommel's arrival, British forces spanked and walked all over the Italian army. And for the most part the Italian's had ten to one superiority in men and material. If Italy had been able to be effective in North Africa, Germany would have had one of the best generals in modern history along with 4 to 5 hundred thousand excellent soldiers to place elsewhere. Your answer is Germany.

The Italian army was absolutely not capable of fighting any kind of war. All they had was manpower. Everything else was absolute rubbish, supposing they had it. The rifles were the worst used in the war. The (few) tanks were laughable and worse that the rifles. The higher officers utterly unreliable. Several high ranking generals and marshalls were decorated for their work - by the Allies after the war! The soldiers were good and able soldiers, especially considering with what they had to fight. (You can't blame a man for running away if you equip him with a feather duster.) Italy was more a handicap than an asset. Without the support of the Afrika Korps, there wouldn't have been a serious war in Africa at all.

Well I guess one could say the Italians did, considering that running away through the hot desert must be real hard work.. haha Seriously, though, the Italians invaded Ethiopia, then Abyssinia, and Egypt from Libya, although after making little progress the British rallied and routed them, and after that Mussolini thought it would be wise to invade Albania and Greece, deepening Italy's crisis. Hitler saw this and offset his timeline for Barbarossa by one month by diverting troops south to smash Allied troops in the Balkan area. He then dispensed about a Panzer division to North Africa under the command of one Erwin Rommel. Rommel then proceded to rout the British, surround Tobruk, push the British out of Libya and into Egypt, all with the Italians in tow. After Alamein Rommel had to retreat west, and after being halted by Hitler he built a defensive line to halt the British, and when it was cracked near the coast the Germans and Italians were on the retreat again. In this retreat the more highly motorized British captured tens of thousands of poorly motivated and slow-moving foot troops. The Germans then set up in Tunisia where they were beaten by Operation Torch. Then Italy was invaded. After reading that I'd say Germany did more work considering without German interference the Italians would have been in sore shape by 1942.

No the language is German over here but you will get around easily I add you a link of the public transport from Berlin they do have a site in English
2 :
The public transportion is divided into three zones: A, B, and C A and B are Berlin (the town itself) and C includes the surroundings. A standard ticket is valid for two hours within zone A+B, B+C, or A+B+C. You can take any public transport within the valid time: bus, underground (U-Bahn), tram, S-Bahn. For tourists however there are special tickets valid for several days and including reduction on entrance fees for popular sights etc. Since the soccer worldcup in 2006 the foreign language support in public transport has improved much. So you won't get problems when using English. Of course, street names etc will be im German.

I have been to Germany 3 times, each time I stayed about 3 months. My German is VERY limited. But I am able to use the bus system; I even took the train a few times. And I did use the subway and bus in Berlin, it is not that bad. I got lost once, but it worked out and I am okay. My best advice is try as best as you can to do everything in German, when this doesn't work just ask if somebody can speak English, most younger people can and they are always so friendly and kind if you are kind to them. DonĂ¢€™t be afraid to try and speak to them in German, and donĂ¢€™t be afraid to ask them if they speak English and if they can help you. You might meet some really nice people! And don't worry if you get lost, you can always find your way again.
