It should.. same voltages, same video standard (PAL) and same region if it's region coded. Region 2. edit: the adapter needed would be one for the power cord. The pin layout in the UK is different from the one in Germany.

I don't think you will need any adaptors. Wii games are region coded for Japan, America, and Europe. Since the UK shares the same region as Germany it should work just fine!

For the whole of Europe, you will not get a work permit unless you have a Company to sponsor you. There are no careers that allow automatic work permits.

It is not really the plug you need to worry about, it is the appliance. If it is a 120V heating appliance (including hairdryers), you can use a solid state one rated for such. They will be 1600W or so, and pretty light weight. Most of the size is a heat sink, used to dissipate heat generated by the converter electronics, which play with the wave form to approximate 120V power in a way heating appliances can accept, but electronics cannot which is why: For electronics, fluorescent and LED lighting, and motorized appliances, you need to use an iron based converter transformer, which changes the 240v to 120V, keeping the waveform intact (and at 50 Hz, which often doesn't matter. Travel store will sell them at around a 50 watt rating, but you can get them larger from some specialty stores. Some more modern electronics will have universal or dual voltage supplies, in which case need only a plug adapter or German style cord. For either type of converter, you likely need the proper plug or adapter to use it where you are going. It will have a 120V receptacle.

Do you need a degree to work in Germany

Do you need a degree to work in Germany?
I'm considering a move to Berlin but don't have much in the way of qualifications and would really like to learn German (I'm British). So would I need a degree to get a job there (nothing much, just something to feed me and pay the rent while I learn the language)? Also, what level should my German be before coming over? Many thanks!

if you want to post stupid answers on my respectable questions then I'll just return the favor.

You should speak german on a good level. It depends from the level and type of job if you will need a degree. If you will become a cleaner you will not need, if you become a job in a bank it's not a must but it is common usage, if you would like to practice as a medical doctor it is a must by law.
