You don't need a visa to go to the Netherlands on vacation, but yes to work there. The immigration laws in Holland have become very strict lately.

Knowing a little of Germany's immigration policies then you presumably have a visa on the basis of specialist skills/education which is in demand. In which case it is a similar situation in the Netherlands, and you will also need an employer to obtain a work permit on your behalf on the basis of these skills/education which prove that no-one else in the total EEA can do this job. Your German visa will not entitle you to work in the Netherlands though, so you must have a new visa for the Netherlands. Here is the info for highly skilled migrants http://www.ind.nl/en/inbedrijf/wonenenwerken/kennismigranten/index.asp which you can read and follow for the procedure including the residence wizard. My husband has a colleague/friend here in the Netherlands and actually it was not a difficult procedure because he made sure he already had all documents ready to fulfil the application requirements for him and his fiancee. Presumuing you have done this for Germany once then it should be fairly smooth runnning as long as you do the preperation and reading in advance (and of course can find a job/employer) Here are some links for finding work in English with higher level skiills/education http://www.undutchables.nl/ http://www.xpatjobs.com/home.asp (type 'English' in the trefwoord field) http://monsterboard.nl/ http://www.intermediair.nl/ Good luck

if he is on parole then NO, if he is finished with parole i dont see why he couldnt leave the country. Best to call your parole officer and ask him.

There should be no trouble with travel, but he MUST remember to notify the authorities where he is registered, IN PERSON, of his travel plans.

Is an international student in Germany allowed to work part time while studying fror free?
What is the number of hours a week an international student can work legally while he is studying in Germany. Does this change for the student who is studying for free?

Here you go, it looks like you can! As of 2005 international students who do not come from the EU or EEA are allowed to work 90 full or 180 half days in a year. To do this they do not need authorisation from the Employment Agency, i.e. the German authorities. International students who do not come from the EU cannot go self employed or work freelance! If you want to work more than 90 full or 180 half days you need the approval of the Employment Agency and the Aliens Department. Whether you receive the approval depends on the situation of the job market in your place of study. In regions with high unemployment you will have little chance of working more than 90 days. One exception, however, is the occupation of academic or student assistant. This work can be carried out for more than 90 days. The Aliens Department must still be informed if you wish to work as an academic or student assistant! You can find more info from the link below.

most countries in Europe don't allow student visa holders to work. What country are you from? What sort of visa do you have?

I live in Germany. Will the Sony Mylo 2 work in Germany. Also what is the power source? Is it dual voltage

I live in Germany. Will the Sony Mylo 2 work in Germany. Also what is the power source? Is it dual voltage?
Would like to purchase a Mylo 2 on base here in Germany but I am worried that I will not be able to load the battery if the power source is only 110 volts. I live in a home with 220 volts. Also, will I be able to connect wireless to the hot spots here?

Hi, you need to find out, if the Mylo can work on both voltages or if the power adaptor can be changed. I know from the Playstation 3 that it's not possible. Therefore we couldn't buy on in US to use in Germany. The only solution would be to buy an external power transformator, which is a very inconvenient thing....

If you have a power adaptor it should work fine. Europe has uses two frequencies of WiFi, but it's most likely 2.4 Ghz, which is the most common. Ask the people first to find out.
