You don't need a visa to go to the Netherlands on vacation, but yes to work there. The immigration laws in Holland have become very strict lately.

Knowing a little of Germany's immigration policies then you presumably have a visa on the basis of specialist skills/education which is in demand. In which case it is a similar situation in the Netherlands, and you will also need an employer to obtain a work permit on your behalf on the basis of these skills/education which prove that no-one else in the total EEA can do this job. Your German visa will not entitle you to work in the Netherlands though, so you must have a new visa for the Netherlands. Here is the info for highly skilled migrants http://www.ind.nl/en/inbedrijf/wonenenwerken/kennismigranten/index.asp which you can read and follow for the procedure including the residence wizard. My husband has a colleague/friend here in the Netherlands and actually it was not a difficult procedure because he made sure he already had all documents ready to fulfil the application requirements for him and his fiancee. Presumuing you have done this for Germany once then it should be fairly smooth runnning as long as you do the preperation and reading in advance (and of course can find a job/employer) Here are some links for finding work in English with higher level skiills/education http://www.undutchables.nl/ http://www.xpatjobs.com/home.asp (type 'English' in the trefwoord field) http://monsterboard.nl/ http://www.intermediair.nl/ Good luck
