I am planning to buy the new Scorpions album (Humanity Hour 1) from amazon.com, but since it was only released in Europe, it is listed as [IMPORT]. Are these CDs the same as the ones here or do they have some type of coding like DVDs have? Will a computer be able to read it?

They should work just fine. I bought a CD when i went to Spain and it worked fine. Unless Germany uses some ohter system.

yes, only video games and dvd's have country codes that play only in the country where they player was purchased. I have many cd's from other countries. Mostly because I enjoy a large array of music.
