English programs in Germany

English programs in Germany?
I currently live and work in Germany as a US citizen on a work visa. A friend of mine who is currently studying computer sciences at the University of Tübingen (also an American citizen) said that they offer an English literary program taught in English. He was not sure on the details of it, and I was unable to find anything on it. Thus, I was wondering if anyone else out there has taken part in it, and if so could they share the details with me. With that, I was wondering the restrictions on a student visa for Germany, such as how much I could work per year while on my student visa. The last thing is that my friend said he got a scholarship of about 700 Euro a month from Baden Wurttemberg. Does anyone know about the scholarship, or does it sound familiar to them?

Your best bet to find out is either the website of the UNI Tübingen or contact them and ask for detailed information. On a student visa you are allowed to work part time usually that means not more than 400 € per month. 700 € are not much money in Baden Württemberg which together with Bavaria is the economical strongest and thus most expensive part of Germany.

Hi, Baden Wurttemberg surely is a rich state and offers quality education along with scholarships. Various German Universities offer English programs and they are really good. Check the program outline since there might be some courses in German too. I have seem Universities offering complete degree program in English language. As per working rights are concerned, on student visa, you can work 90 working days or 180 half working days. Beware of your health insurance limit when working. Check out:
